Senior Egyptian officials warned Israeli officials that any violation of the Camp David Accords would be met with appropriate retaliation – even at the cost of the complete termination of the peace agreement.

Egypt says that Israeli control of the Gaza-Egypt border (Philadelphi Corridor) is a violation of Camp David.

In recent weeks, Egyptian forces have been massing in Sinai in their own apparent violation of that peace agreement.

Arab media reports that Cairo demands the IDF leave the Philadelphi Corridor.

In Israel, controlling that border is seen as a strategic necessity. It is the lifeline of Hamas, which smuggled all its weapons through the Philadelphi Corridor, with little or no interference by the Egyptians.

The father of released hostage Arbel Yehud read her troubling words today at the Knesset:

‼️Hamas announces that it is suspending the release of Israeli hostages due to “Israeli violations” of the ceasefire deal.

Hamas is trying to flip the narrative following the horrifying scenes from the latest hostage release a few days ago.

It is likely that the remaining live hostages to be released are in even worse shape than the three freed last Shabbat.

And after the harsh Israeli and international reactions to the images from a few days ago, Hamas is looking for an excuse to scuttle the coming release.

Defense Minister Israel Katz:

Hamas's decision to stop releasing Israeli hostages is a complete violation of the ceasefire agreement.

I have instructed the IDF to prepare at the highest level of alert for any possible scenario in Gaza.

We will not allow a return to the reality of October 7th.

REPORT: The IDF is preparing for a resumption of hostilities after Hamas cancelled the upcoming hostage release.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is meeting with his security cabinet tonight, while the people demand an immediate response to this Hamas violation.

Trump’s patience has reached its end. He wants Hamas to release ALL the hostages by noon Saturday, or else “all bets are off.”

Trump has effectively given Israel a green light from Washington to give Hamas the choice between capitulation and destruction, and to actually act on that threat.
