Eli Sharabi did NOT KNOW that his wife and two daughters had been murdered on Oct. 7. He came out of Gaza today expecting to be reunited with them. He was informed of their horrible fate by his sister and mother.

May the LORD have compassion on this poor soul.

President Isaac Herzog on the images this morning from Gaza:

This is what a crime against humanity looks like!

The whole world must look directly at Ohad, Or, and Eli โ€” returning after 491 days of hell, starved, emaciated and pained โ€” being exploited in a cynical and cruel spectacle by vile murderers.

Overnight, Israeli troops were ordered to withdraw from the strategic Netzarim Corridor that divides the Gaza Strip between north and south. Until now, the government has repeatedly stressed that it will never do this until Hamas is destroyed.

Why is the division of the Gaza Strip into two halves important?

Control of the corridor allows the IDF to better control the different parts of the Gaza Strip. This limits Hamasโ€™s freedom of movement and makes it more difficult for the terrorists to transfer forces, supplies, and possibly hostages.

Isolation of Gaza City

Control of the corridor makes it possible to cut off Gaza City, which was Hamas's main power center in the north, from the center and south parts of Strip, from where all the smuggled arms and supplies enter.

Many see it as a strategic mistake to give up all this.

In return for yesterday's released hostages, Israel freed 183 jailed Palestinian terrorists, including 18 serving life sentences.

"Take them down one-by-one"

Shir Siegel, daughter of Keith Siegel, one of the Israeli hostages released from Hamas captivity last week, wrote today on social media:

"Yesterday, before I went to sleep, my dad spent hours telling us horror stories.

"The feeling I had in my body was so strong that it made me want to drive all the way to Gaza and take them down one by one.

"And then came the frustration of knowing that I'm unable to actually do that. What I can do is direct my complaints to my leadersโ€”because Hamas doesnโ€™t care about me."

IDF Spokesman:

A short while ago, IAF aircraft conducted a precise intelligence-based strike on a tunnel crossing from Syrian territory into Lebanese territory that was used by Hezbollah to smuggle weapons. The IDF is determined to prevent the restoration and use of this tunnel.

Additionally, the IAF struck several Hezbollah sites in Lebanese territory containing munitions and rocket launchers that posed an imminent threat.

The targets struck were a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
