I came across this screenshot in my photos of this WhatsApp message I sent to Mufti Ebrahim Sb over three years ago.

Alhamdulillah, I have high hopes he would have been very happy with the ḥadīth book. Unfortunately, he passed away before he could write a foreword.

From Mufti Yusuf Shabbir's "12 countries in the Company of Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani". This should inspire non-huffaz to remain dedicated to Ilm. Mufti Taqi is not a Hafiz - I didn't know that, I believe Mufti Ahmed Khanpuri and Shaykh Yunus Jawnpuri also are/were not huffaz.

Interestingly, Mufti Shabbir Sb told us in a jalsa in Leicester that Shaykh Yunus would read half a juz' every day due to engagement in teaching.

Let us be honest with ourselves, did we really understand the transaction chapters from Al-Hidāyah properly? Whether you did or didn’t, this course is for you! We’re exploring the original text of Al-Hidāyah - Bidāyah al-Mubtadī - written by Al-Marghīnānī raḥimahullah (d.593 AH) and going through every chapter from Kitāb Buyūʿ until Kitāb al-Karāhiyah.

We’ll be looking deep into the legal meanings of the masā’il and drawing the dots to connect the masā’il with contemporary issues such as cryptocurrency, pensions, forex and studying industry practice today. This course is an ABSOLUTE MUST for a student of fiqh and really delves into an area that is, quite often, not given as much coverage in our darse-niẓāmī programmes.

The Writing of Qisas al-Nabiyyīn

Ml Abu'l Hasan Ali al-Nadwi raḥimahullah writing about how when he started writing Qisas al-Nabiyyin, he would write wherever he was, including even on the corner of a street while waiting for his conveyance. He says he felt a divine ease whilst writing it.
