ONLINE MADRASAH FOR UK EXPATS - UPDATE 📚💻
Alhamdulillah, IslamicKnowledge (@IKcourses) is pleased to announce that the launch of our online Madrasah (Maktab) for UK Expats has been a success, thus far.
We request the sincere Du'as of all readers for this to continue.
Class timings: 🕰️
4:00 PM to 5:30 PM (QATAR time, GMT +3)
Every Sunday to Wednesday
Background 📜
UK expats living in Qatar, UAE and Saudia generally face difficulty in accessing Madrasah/Maktab education for their children in these countries. This may come as a surprise to many as despite these countries being Muslim countries, the Madrasah/Maktab education is not as developed as the UK.
In seeking to address this issue, IslamicKnowledge (@IKcourses) has been providing Madrasah education to students from these countries in an organised manner.
Progress 📈
Currently, Alhamdulillah we have multiple classes running:
the "reception age" as well as "junior boys" and "junior girls" classes.
Alhamdulillah, the teachers are well-experienced UK Madrasah teachers.
45 minutes is spent on perfecting Qur’anic recitation and the remaining 45 minutes are spent on Islamic studies.
The An-Nasihah islamic studies is used wherein the Nasihah world platform is used for quizzes and class reading.
Parents are given feedback on their children’s recitation and progress and a ‘Pupil of the Month’ award motivates the students to continue improving. Teachers are engaging, passionate and dedicated to keep the students inspired to learn, providing gentle yet constructive and critical feedback.
Students have been improving their recitation of the Qur’an and have been thoroughly enjoying their studies of the An-Nasihah syllabus.
We have received fantastic feedback from parents who were very glad that their children now have consistent Islamic education that ensures their children do not fall behind the UK Madrasah students. Our parent Suhail Bashir, currently residing in Qatar and originally from Blackburn, UK said:
“Alhamdulillah, thank you so much! Jazakallah so much! My children are in a good Madrasah routine, this initiative was much needed honestly!”

The journey for hajj was an obligation but it had me hooked. I had to go again. As I prepare to once again visit those holy lands, I sincerely request your Du'as that Allah Ta'ala accepts the journey, makes it a means of spiritual rectification, keeps us safe with Iman and good health. I also request that you make Du'a that Allah Ta'ala accepts all our Du'as and I'll do the same for you insha'Allah.
p.s. I'm taking with me the latest edition of IK's "Profound Supplications for Hajj & Umrah" book. Insha'Allah I pray to Allah that He eases its publication in time for the next hajj.

Assalamu Alaykum,
Muhtaram subscribers of the IK telegram channel. I know the following documents may not be as relevant to all of you, but I know that it may benefit some of you.
During our final year studies with Mufti Shabbir Ahmad Sahib, we studied the fiqh chapters from Jami' al-Tirmidhi. I would make my notes in Arabic. Mufti Sahib would teach at a very fast pace and thus I would be switching between different coloured pens and writing down the ikhtilaf mentioned in class in Arabic. I would print out and paste the text of Jami' al-Tirmidhi into my notes after the lesson.
Below, I share with you the first portion of these notes. A few key points must be kept in mind:
⁃ Please do bear in mind that the Arabic was written at a very fast pace in class as the notes were being dictated by Mufti Sahib in Urdu, not to mention that I was yet a student in the final year of the darse nizami programme, accordingly, the Arabic will have plenty of mistakes. This includes names of scholars and books many of which I was hearing for the first time.
⁃ The notes are NOT to be relied upon as concrete as they are not fully referenced. Mufti Sahib had the references in his book but did not have time to make the reference in class. Also, the names etc. and views attributed to scholars may not be accurate and so everything should be double-checked. However, what might be good to see is the topics/masail Mufti Sahib discusses under each hadith and to check in Al-Mawsu'ah al-Fiqhiyyah al-Kuwaytiyyah
⁃ I hope they do benefit anyone teaching hadith. If they do, please remember me in your Du'as that Allah Ta'ala blesses myself and @IKcourses with Ikhlaas, Aafiyah and Tawfique
We will begin with the chapters of salah and will insha'Allah upload taharah, zakah, sawm, hajj, janaiz, nikah and buyu' soon.
