This day, 23rd September, 2024, the #InternationalDayforSignLanguage, the Ministry of Education reaffirms its commitment to fostering an inclusive education system for children with hearing impairment through a series of impactful initiatives. Learning content in #IndianSignLanguage (ISL) has been developed to support #hearing-impaired students, with ISL videos covering a wide range of subjects now available on YouTube and the DIKSHA portal of NCERT. The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has introduced ISL as a secondary subject in its curriculum. Additionally, the Ministry continues to promote the training of teachers and special educators to ensure inclusive classrooms. The development of inclusive e-content, including ISL-based learning modules and digital textbooks, is ongoing to ensure equal access to education for all students. #InclusiveEducation #NEP2020 #SamagraShiksha
