!5rael telah gagal untuk menyangkal tuduhan pembunuhan beramai-ramai yang dibawa ke Mahkamah Keadilan Antarabangsa (ICJ) oleh kerajaan Afrika Selatan.

Menteri Kehakiman Afrika Selatan, Ronald Lamola menegaskan kes dikemukakan mereka hanya berpaksi kepada fakta dan undang-undang dengan semua bukti menunjukkan !5rael sememangnya melakukan genosid.

Beliau juga percaya dan sangat yakin bahawa fakta dan undang-undang tersebut adalah suatu pencabulan jelas Konvensyen Genosid.

"Tiada apa yang boleh membenarkan pembunuhan beramai-ramai. Tiada yang boleh mengimbangi, seperti yang dicadangkan oleh 15rael. Larangan itu mutlak. Ia adalah peraturan undang-undang yang utama, tidak kira apa yang dilakukan oleh sesetengah individu dalam kumpulan P4lestin di G4za dan tidak kira betapa hebatnya ancaman terhadap warga 15rael.

"Serangan genosid ke atas seluruh G4za dan seluruh penduduk ini dengan niat untuk memusnahkan mereka tidak boleh dibenarkan sama sekali," katanya.
