PRAYER...
Dear Father, I know prayer isn't just about asking for things; it's about connecting with You, sharing our worries, joys, and desires. When we pray, we open our hearts to Your wisdom and love, trusting that You hear us and knows what's best for us. Trusting You want us to let go of our need to control everything and believing that You are working for our good, even when we can't see it. So, we pray with sincerity, and then trust that you will be with us every step of the way, guiding and supporting us through life's journey. Tonight we pray for peace as we sleep for all of your children worldwide. We give thanks for for Jesus who has made it possible that we can come to you directly to say Thank you for all that you have done and are doing.
Amen

The Greatest Man in History… Jesus; Had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He did not live in a castle, yet they called Him Lord, He ruled no nations, yet they called Him King, He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.

We have completed the book of Luke! 🙏🏽
Now on to John...
A bit of history, John was speaking to the Greek people, this was his audience when writing the book of John. He taught the Gospel to an unbelieving people who had many gods. As a result, the Book of John was originally written in Greek, not Hebrew. As with every Book of the Bible, it is important to read the entire chapter to truly understand what and who is being referred to at the time.
In Greek, the word god was written as theos (θεὸς). Theos was used loosely to refer to God (the Father), pagan gods as well as satan. John used a familiar word, θεὸς (theos or god), to a very pagan people, to help them come to the Father through the Son. The phrase, "Lost in translation" becomes very apparent. And yes, I hear people say, the Word of God is infallible. This is very true, The Spoken and original written Word of God is infallible, not the mistranslations, only God's Word, His truth, not man's version. This is why praying, reading, and researching for yourself is so important. We must seek God through Jesus with all of our heart. In doing that, we will find Him!
Now, we can see John use θεὸς, as god referring to satan.
2 Corinthians 4:4, In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
ἐν οἷς ὁ θεὸς τοῦ αἰῶνος τούτου ἐτύφλωσεν τὰ νοήματα τῶν ἀπίστων εἰς τὸ μὴ αὐγάσαι αὐτοῖς τὸν φωτισμὸν τοῦ εὐαγγελίου τῆς δόξης τοῦ Χριστοῦ ὅς ἐστιν εἰκὼν τοῦ θεοῦ
John uses it to refer to the Father in John 1:1 which translated, is confusing as well. You have to read the entire chapter and research.
John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος).
Obviously, Jesus is not the Father, and the Father is not the Son. However, people read John 1:1 and assume that they are one and the same. You will even hear many pastors teach this as well. John confirms that they are not the same person in John 20:17 and it is confirmed throughout the Bible. Are they on the same page, Yes. But, not the same person or being.
John 20:17, Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
λέγει αὐτῇ ὁ Ἰησοῦς Μή μου ἅπτου οὔπω γὰρ ἀναβέβηκα πρὸς τὸν πατέρα· μου πορεύου δὲ πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφούς μου καὶ εἰπὲ αὐτοῖς Ἀναβαίνω πρὸς τὸν πατέρα μου καὶ πατέρα ὑμῶν καὶ θεόν μου καὶ θεὸν ὑμῶν
I'm asking everyone to pray about this. Some have been so brainwashed that it is hard to open their minds to what God was really teaching us through these disciples. So many have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that maybe they were taught wrong or misled. satan is a master at deceiving and he will use whatever means to do this, even a church. This is why we count completely on the Lord God through Jesus, going back to the earliest writings for verification. I do have many people ask me about different versions of the bible, Again, I will say that no matter what version you read, you should always refer to the Greek and Hebrew scriptures for a clearer understanding, You can use an interlinear version to help as well.
Just a note here. When writing these studies, much research goes into these questions. The Spirit of God is our Guide. The admins here, can tell you that much prayer goes into the studies and teachings. The idea is to come together in the true Word of God without a religion or church dictating how we understand the Word. God sent His Spirit to be our Guide, and the only Mediator between us and the Father is Jesus, not a pastor or church. Therefore, as His servants we rely on Him. We were given original Scripture to go by and need to use those resources that He gave us.
