And some in this world are more foolish than others ๐Ÿ˜”

โ€œFor all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.โ€

Heartbreaking

Heartbreaking! Can you imagine being just 15 years old, standing in a blood-soaked arena, and choosing to face wild beasts rather than deny Jesus Christ?
The sand of the Roman amphitheater in Lyon was already darkened with blood.
But when the guards brought the next Christian forward, the crowd didn't roar with excitement โ€” they laughed.
He wasn't a hardened gladiator.
He wasn't a rebel soldier.
He was Ponticus, a boy only fifteen years of age.
During the brutal reign of Emperor Marcus Aurelius...
Believers were hunted down, labeled as "atheists" and enemies of the pagan gods.
Now, it was this young boy's turn to face the terror of the empire.
Ponticus stood trembling โ€” not out of cowardice, but simply because of his youth.
He had already survived days of horrific torture, scourging, and interrogation.
Now, the officials offered him one final, desperate way out:
"Swear by the gods. Live."
He could have easily walked out of that arena alive.
He was only 15, with his entire life still ahead of him!
Beside him stood Blandina, an older Christian woman whose miraculous endurance had astonished her captors.
When the boy's physical strength faltered beneath the pain, she looked at him โ€” and his soul steadied.
He absolutely refused to curse the name of his Savior.
Infuriated by his defiance, the Romans released the wild beasts.
Ponticus was exposed, mocked, and brutally tormented.
The authorities tested him again and again...
Absolutely certain that a mere child would eventually break in terror and beg for his life.
He never did.
At the end of the long, horrific spectacle, the young martyr finally collapsed.
The pagan crowd thought they just saw a weak child fall.
But the Church knew they had just witnessed a spiritual giant!
In an arena where the Romans believed strength was measured entirely by steel and muscle...
A 15-year-old boy proved to the world that true faith is far stronger than the entire empire!

Hebrews 12:1-2
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

โ€œBut as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.โ€

I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.

โ€œBut when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.โ€

โ€œAnd we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.โ€
Romans 8:28-30 KJV

"If you look at the world, you will be distressed. If you look inside, you will be depressed. but if you look to Christ, you will rest. Therefore, we must seek God in the deepest areas of our lives."

โ€œWhat shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.โ€
