Building Freedom, a New Chapter of Life.

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27:1

As many of you know, the Lord has called me out into the highways and byways to be His hands and feet. Day after day, I answer the calls of those crying out in distress.

This week, the Holy Spirit heavily burdened my heart for a young mother who I have been waiting years to allow God into her life. For her to see, come to terms with, have the opportunity to, and desperately cry out for what was a horrific and life threatening situation.

Before I even went to pick her up, I knew the situation was incredibly dangerous. The physical scars on her face bore witness to the horrific abuse and life she has endured. The environment was so volatile that things could have turned violently wrong in a split second. Confronted with that reality, I immediately went into deep, desperate prayer. I called on the Only One who could intervene, stand in the gap, and command the atmosphere. Praise God, He answered! He brought a divine peace over the entire situation.

In that calm, I was able to walk right up, grab what was allowed, and walk away with her and her baby unharmed. The retreat was so urgent and dangerous that she had to flee without her identification, her car seat, or any of her important belongings. Yet, by the grace of God, she walked away without incident. Emotions filled that car, a relief that years of abuse and bad choices were finally over. She was finally safe!

The first night, she struggled to sleep but after that, she has rested through the night. Peace fills the air as she gains the opportunity to build a life with God through Christ, independent of trauma and pain. She is relearning what freedom truly looks like, while showing her baby for the first time what true freedom feels like.

Since that moment, she has been focused on getting on her feet. I welcomed them in, and we are spending our time building her up into the woman God created her to be. Spending everyday working to make herself independent from the abusers who controlled and beat her down, both mentally and physically. To give her confidence that the Lord never fails and when we seek Him, we will find Him. That if we trust Him, He will provide a way.

With no ID, navigating the world is normally impossible. But each encounter we have had to rebuild her documentation and every meeting we have attended has been marked by pure divine intervention. Piece by piece, the Lord is providing exactly what she needs to regain her identity. We are watching Proverbs 3:5-6 come to life as God makes straight paths and opens doors no man can shut.

Scripture commands us to stand in the gap for the vulnerable. James 1:27 reminds us that pure religion is to look after the afflicted in their distress. Now, we are trusting God to supply her next critical breakthroughs: a stable job, vehicle, safe home of her own, and the essentials she needs to survive.

Please lift this young mother and her child up in targeted prayer. Pray that the Lord shields them from any lingering danger, strengthens her resolve, and continues this miraculous chain of events. God’s Amazing Creation
 
A butterfly drifts through the air and most people barely think twice. It looks light, even random, like it’s just floating wherever the breeze takes it. For years, many scientists assumed that kind of flight was inefficient, almost sloppy compared to the clean, powerful motion of birds or airplanes. But when researchers finally slowed it down and studied it closely, that assumption collapsed. What looked chaotic turned out to be deeply controlled, highly engineered movement.
Each wingbeat of a butterfly is doing something remarkable. Instead of simple flapping, the wings create swirling vortices of air, capturing and reusing energy with precision timing. They use a motion known as “clap and fling,” where the wings come together and then snap apart to generate extra lift. This isn’t accidental or crude. It is a sophisticated aerodynamic system that modern engineers are still trying to replicate in flying machines. Even more striking, this entire system is controlled by a tiny brain with almost no computational power compared to human technology. What we once dismissed as weak or inefficient is actually a masterclass in design.
This matters because it exposes a deeper issue. When people assume nature is the result of blind processes, they often interpret complexity as coincidence or imperfection. But the closer we look, the more that story falls apart. The butterfly doesn’t flutter because it’s poorly designed. It flutters because it was designed to do exactly that, using methods far beyond human engineering. Creation consistently reveals intention, precision, and purpose when examined honestly.
And that brings us back to truth. The Bible declares that God is the Creator of all living things, and what we see in even the smallest creatures confirms it. The butterfly’s flight is not a mystery of chance. It is a visible reminder that design is real, that creation is intentional, and that the One who formed it all is not distant or unknown. He has made Himself known through what He has created, and ultimately through His Word.
