โThen said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.โ

"And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows"
Matthew 24: 1-8

โThe thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.โ

Praise God for All of His Blessings
Itโs an extreme case for sure, but in India a young man who was given a new BMW car as a birthday gift from his parents pushed the car into a river!
He didnโt like it. He said it was too small, and he wanted a Jaguar. You wonโt find too many examples of selfishness and ingratitude that rise to this level. We could learn lessons here about gifts and kids and parenting and fouling waterways with motor vehicles, but we should probably stop and consider how we express our gratitude to God.
God has been so good to every last person. Donโt make the mistake of overlooking your blessings, or failing to appreciate them.
Letโs always be thankful for the seen and unseen blessings. God is so good to all of us, letโs always remember to give Him praise and thanksgiving.
James 1:17
โEvery good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.โ

"I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd."

Without You We Are Sunk
A little boy offered up a Thanksgiving Day prayer for the family and prayed: "Dear God, this is Jimmy. Thank you for Thanksgiving and Christmas and all of the holidays. Thank you for the turkey and dressing and Mom and Dad and even for my little sister, even though sometimes she can be a pain. Thank you for books and TV and game boy. Thank you for loving us. Oh, yeah. And take care of yourself, God. Because without you, we're sunk. Amen."
This boyโs prayer brings to mind the words of hymn: โWithout You, how lost I would be.โ
Thank you Father for saving a wretch like me, without You we are sunk.
Psalms 103:2
โBless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:โ

1 John 4 teaches Godโs people to test what they hear, holding to truth that aligns with God.
It emphasizes that Godโs nature is love, and those who truly know Him will live in that love. This love removes fear and is shown by loving God first and others, not just claiming to love God.
