Illegal entry into the U.S. hits very close to home for me. When Iโm out sharing the Gospel, I also speak about our country and the importance of being informed and patriotic.
My perspective comes from deep personal loss. My young niece was brutally attacked and killed by an illegal years ago. Raped, stripped naked, and left dying in a court yard for all to see, she died alone. She was a very tiny, beautiful, vulnerable young woman whose life was taken far too soon. Not long after, her brother who was my nephew, lost his life as well, unable to bear the weight of that pain.
Because of this, I speak openly. I interact with people from many backgrounds every day, and Iโm clear about where I stand. I believe in truth, in having hard conversations, and in standing firm without fear.
At the same time, I remind people that as Americans, we are a nation of many origins, a true melting pot, almost like a โUnited Nations.โ Most Americans are not pure blood from any country, we're a bunch of mutts! Brought together by the freedom our founding Fathers dreamed of. Yet for too long, weโve been divided in every possible way: by ethnicity, religion, income, education, politics, and even personal beliefs. Those divisions weaken us.
United we stand, divided we fall. When we allow ourselves to be divided, we become easier to overcome. This nation was built through struggle, sacrifice, and perseverance by people who were forced here or came seeking opportunity, who worked, suffered, and gave their lives to build something greater for future generations. Freedom has never been free, and it has always required responsibility, hard work, and resilience. I will not let that sacrifice be in vain. I will continue to stand for this country, the United States of America, putting God first through Christ, standing firm on truth, and honoring the principles this nation was built upon, the Constitution!
There is a lawful way to enter this country and an unlawful way. Weโve seen, and some have personally experienced the consequences of ignoring that distinction. Itโs time to uphold and enforce the proper process.
I am a soldier for Christ but also a proud Veteran who chose to serve out of love for this country. We all must keep praying and fighting for our country.. ๐ ๐
Have a blessed evening! ~Renee

2 Peter 3 reminds Godโs people to stay anchored in the words spoken by the prophets and the Lordโs apostles, especially in the last days when mockers will come, denying the promise of His return and following their own desires. It explains that Godโs timing is not like human timing, what seems like delay is actually patience, giving people the opportunity to turn back to Him.
The day of the Lord will come suddenly and decisively, bringing judgment and the renewal of creation. Because of this, Godโs people are called to live in holiness and reverence, looking forward to a new heaven and new earth where righteousness dwells. We are encouraged to remain steadfastness, grow in grace and knowledge, and be careful not to be led astray by error, urging a firm and faithful walk until the end.

1 John 1
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

โDearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.โ

โLet love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;โ

Forgiveness
A man in New Zealand backed out of his driveway when a cat came out of nowhere. He ran over the cat, and the cat died. But what made it even worse is that the cat was owned by the prime minister of New Zealand, who lived nearby.
The manโs two children wrote a condolence card in which they asked the prime minister not to send their father to prison. When he bumped into her in person, he apologized, but she apologized for the inconvenience, and it was one of those, โIโm so sorry,โ โNo, Iโm so sorry,โ moments.
One could easily have held a grudge.
But forgiveness is always better. God forgives. We want to remember that. Remember to forgive others.
Psalms 86:5
โFor thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.โ

President Wilsonโs Father
Woodrow Wilson liked to speak of his godly ministerial father, Dr. Joseph R. Wilson, for many years a distinguished Presbyterian minister in the South.
Among the anecdotes he related of him was this: โHe was once in a company of men where they were having a heated discussion. In the midst of it one let out a profane expletive. Then, seeing Dr. Wilson there, he offered him an apology, saying, โSir, I had forgotten that you were present. Please pardon me.โ
Dr. Wilsonโs reply was, โIt is not to me that you owe your apology but to God.โ
2 Timothy 2:16
โBut shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.โ
