Hebrews 6 urges God’s people to move beyond foundational teachings and press on toward spiritual maturity, building a steadfast faith rooted in perseverance. Giving a serious warning against turning away after receiving knowledge of the truth, emphasizing the danger of hardened unbelief. Yet it also offers strong encouragement, affirming confidence in those who continue in faithful service and love toward God and others. God’s promise is presented as certain and unchanging, confirmed by His own oath, giving God’s people firm hope. This hope is described as an anchor for the soul, secure and steadfast, grounded in Jesus, who has entered God’s presence on our behalf as the eternal High Priest.

Hebrews 7
1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

God's love for us knows no bounds. It's an unwavering, unconditional affection for us that we could never truly reciprocate to Him. His level of love for us is incomprehensible. A love that is always present, no matter what we've done or where we find ourselves in life. Scripture describes God's love as compassionate, patient, and forgiving.
As we all wait for man to show his love for humankind, with big changes, and big events, let us never take our focus off of and always give praises to the One who holds the true power to allow those changes. The One who is the originator of big changes and events. The One who all blessings truly flow. The One who truly loves us, eternally. 🕊
1 John 4:8
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1 John 4:16
So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
Jeremiah 31:3
The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

Q: But the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for what?
A: Evermore.
Hebrews 7 explains that Jesus serves as High Priest according to a greater and eternal priesthood, foreshadowed by Melchizedek, whose priesthood was not based on ancestry or law but on divine appointment. Unlike the temporary priesthood established under the law, Christ’s priesthood is permanent because He lives forever. Therefore, He is able to completely save those who come to God through Him, continually interceding on their behalf. This emphasizes that Jesus is holy, blameless, and exalted, offering Himself once for all, establishing a better covenant grounded in God’s unchanging promise.

Beloved God First family in Christ,
Let us come together in prayer for our sister Tina and her family as they walk through this tender and sacred time. Her mother is nearing the end of her earthly journey, preparing to enter her rest in the Lord. Scripture reminds us that those who belong to Christ rest in the hope of resurrection and eternal peace.
Please pray that God would surround Tina and her family with His strength, comfort, and peace that surpasses understanding. May the Lord grant them moments of joy, love, and reassurance in these final hours, and may His presence fill the room with calm assurance and hope. Pray that everlasting arms uphold them, that sorrow would be met with the promise of life everlasting, and that the God of all comfort would carry them through each moment with grace.
In love, let us lift this family before the Lord. 🙏✝️

Grace Is a Gift
Imagine you are half a million dollars in debt. Someone comes to you and writes out a check for $500,000, saying, “This is all for you, to cancel your debt. You don’t have to do anything but reach out and take it, and it’s yours.” So you take the money and pay your debt. You are now debt-free and totally in the clear.
What do you have to boast about? Can you go around bragging that you had the power, the skill, and the brains to reach out and take that check? Can you talk about what a favor you did for your benefactor, taking all that troublesome money off his hands? Does that make any sense?
Of course not. You received grace—nothing more, nothing less. You were impoverished; you received riches from another person. The fact that you are now debt-free is a hundred percent due to your benefactor, zero percent due to you.
Who, then, deserves the praise and glory for your salvation? Clearly, not you! You have received riches from the resources of God. His grace made it all possible.
Galatians 6:14, “But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.”
