Disappointment is inevitable. But to become discouraged, there's a choice I make. God would never discourage me. He would always point me to himself to trust him. Therefore, my discouragement is from Satan. As you go through the emotions that we have, hostility is not from God, bitterness, unforgiveness, all of these are attacks from Satan.

Christ Gives Freedom
Above the entrance to the concentration camp in Auschwitz, Germany were the words Arbeit Macht Frei. The words mean “Work makes free.” It was a boldfaced lie suggesting that if the prisoners worked hard, they would be given liberty. The promised freedom was a horrifying death.
Many people believe that if they do their best good works they will earn Heaven. This, however, is false. They will learn too late that good works do not earn freedom.
It is Christ’s blood that liberates. He died to give us freedom from the penalty of our sin.

Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. Thank You for all of the miracles You perform every minute, and for all of the blessings that surround my life and keep me going. Your word in Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” God, this is a beautiful promise You’ve given me, and tonight I’m hiding Your word in my heart and placing my life in Your hands. Each day brings things that can make me feel like giving up, but You are bigger than all of them. I won’t forget that You’ve always made a way and that You’ve been faithful every year of my life. Thank You for being close to me and for hearing my prayers each night. I give this night to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
