βShall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it. And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's. And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.β

βNo man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.β

Faithfulness in Trials: A Call to Covenant Loyalty
Daniel and his companions, exiled in Babylon, chose obedience over compromise. Though surrounded by a culture that opposed their faith, they refused defilement by the kingβs food (Daniel 1:8), demonstrating unwavering loyalty to God.
Their faithfulness was not passive; it was a bold stand for righteousness. In exile, their covenant commitment became a witness to nations and a testimony of Godβs power.
As servants of the Most High God, we are called to the same standard. Righteousness is not defined by comfort or culture; it is defined by loyalty to God. Even in hostile environments, we must choose holiness, integrity, and truth.
Take responsibility. Let your life reflect covenant faithfulness. Stand firm. Shine bright. Be faithful in trials, and let your obedience speak louder than the pressure to conform.
Have a blessed Sabbath!πππ½

Life is fragile and dangerous for Christians living in the northern and Middle Belt regions of Nigeria. They face violence that often leads to death, the destruction of their homes, villages and places of worship. Ultimately, they are forced to flee from the danger which creates mass displacement for tens of thousands.
It is a growing crisis that involves more than three million Christians who are being persecuted because of their faith. Islamic terror groups are behind the vicious attacks and the Nigerian government appears to be doing very little to stop the brutality. Making matters worse, recent studies on persecution show the atrocities committed in Nigeria account for nearly 70 percent of all Christians killed globally.
