Over a 54-year period, John Wesley preached three sermons a day, totaling almost 60,000 times.
He travelled by horseback and carriage more than 200,000 miles, knew 10 languages, published grammar books on English, Greek, Hebrew, Latin, and French, seven volumes of sermons and controversial papers, a four-volume commentary on the Bible, an English dictionary, three works on medicine, five volumes on natural philosophy, four volumes on church history, histories of England and Rome, six volumes of church music, edited a library of fifty books, got up at 4 am, and worked through to 10 pm.
Are you getting tired? Despite all this, he said, “I have more hours of private retirement than any man in England.”
At 83, he was disappointed that he was unable to write more than fifteen hours a day without hurting his eyes.

In a world saturated with compromise and moral confusion, the call to live righteously is not merely a suggestion; it is a divine mandate. From the Torah to the Prophets, from the Psalms to the Apostolic writings, the Scriptures consistently summon God’s people to holiness.
“You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy” (Leviticus 19:2) is not just a command; it’s a reflection of God’s nature. To be holy is to be set apart, to mirror the purity and justice of the Most High in every aspect of life. Micah reminds us that righteousness is practical: doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God. Psalm 1 paints the portrait of the righteous as deeply rooted, nourished by God’s Word, unshaken by the storms of culture.
Hebrews 12:14 makes it plain: without holiness, no one will see the Lord. This is not legalism, it’s covenant loyalty. Holiness is not optional; it is the evidence of a life surrendered to God.
So take responsibility. You are not called to blend in, you are called to stand out. You are a servant of the Most High God. Let your life be a living testimony of His righteousness. Be the tree planted by streams of living water. Be holy, because He is holy.
