In John 3, Jesus speaks with Nicodemus, explaining the need to be “born from above” to see the kingdom of God verse 1–7. The Greek emphasizes a spiritual rebirth through water and Spirit, showing entry into God’s kingdom is a divine work beyond human effort.

Jesus reveals that the Son of Man must be “lifted up” so that whoever believes may have eternal life verse14–15. John 3:16 declares God’s love in sending His only begotten Son for the salvation of the world, underscoring Jesus as the divine Son, not the Father Himself.

John the Baptist later affirms Jesus’ heavenly origin, saying He speaks the words of God and that eternal life belongs to those who believe in the Son, while rejecting Him brings God’s wrath verse 31–36.

John 3 emphasizes spiritual rebirth, faith in the divine Son of God, and His role as the source of eternal life.

"There was a man who had two sons.”

And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ And he divided his property between them.

The younger son travels to a distant country.

The prodigal squanders all his inheritance on selfish, shallow fulfillment, losing everything.

His financial disaster is followed by a natural disaster in the form of a famine, which he failed to plan for.

He was paid so little and grew so hungry that he longed to eat the pig’s food.

The prodigal son begins to reflect on his miserable condition, and he came to his senses.

He will admit his sin.

Returning home, the prodigal son is prepared to fall at his father’s feet and beg for mercy.

The father in the Parable of the Prodigal Som..does not question his son or lecture him; instead, he joyfully forgives him and receives him back into fellowship.

Luke 15: 11-32

God’s heart is full of compassion for His children.
