Jesus is mocked, beaten, and led to be crucified. On the cross, He utters: Luke 23:34, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” This powerful plea shows divine mercy and compassion even toward His executioners.
A thief crucified beside Him says, Luke 23:42, “Remember me, Lord, when You come into Your kingdom.” Jesus replies, verse 43, “Today you will be with Me in Paradise.” The word paradeisos, evokes a garden or dwelling of God, signifying eternal communion.
Jesus' death is marked by supernatural signs. Darkness falls, the temple veil tears, “was torn”, symbolizing open access to God. Finally, Jesus cries out: verse 46, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit,” showing willing surrender and trust.
It emphasizes that Jesus, the righteous and innocent one, was condemned unjustly yet remained obedient unto death. His words and actions fulfill prophecy, offer forgiveness, and open the way to eternal life for all who believe.🙏🏽

Dear God, thank You for this day. Thank You for reminding me of who I really am. On the days I feel like I’m not enough, help me to see myself the way You see me. Your word in Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” That changes everything. I am not my mistakes. I am not what others have said about me. I am Yours. I am redeemed, chosen, and loved. Help me believe this today, especially when the devil tries to discourage me. I trust that You have my back, and You’re still working on me. I want to live today with confidence in who You created me to be. Thank You for everything. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
