Q: How was it that they accused the disciples of transgressing against the elders?
A:Because they did not wash their hands when they eat bread.

Q: How did Jesus tell them that they transgressed the commandment of God?
A: By their tradition.

Q: God said to honor your father and mother, and anyone who curses them shall be put to death. However, the scribes and Pharisees teach that whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, What you would have gained from me is given to God. So, he does not need to honour his father or his mother, he shall be free.
What does this do to the word of God for the sake of tradition?
A: Makes it null and void.

A: Isaiah.

Q: Who called the multitude?
A: Jesus.

Q: What did Jesus say that defileth a man?
A: That which cometh out of the mouth.

Q: When hearing that the Pharisees were offended after hearing Jesus say these things, what was Jesus's response?
A: Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Q: After Jesus spoke these words, what did Peter say unto Jesus?
A: Declare unto us this parable.

Q: As a result, did Jesus question Peter's understanding of what Jesus was saying? Yes or No.
A: Yes.

Q: Do not ye yet _________, that whatsoever entereth in at the _________ goeth into the belly, and is cast _________ into the draught?
A: Understand, mouth, out.

Q: But those things which _________ out of the _________ come forth from the _________; and they _________ the man.
A: Proceed, mouth, heart, defile.

Q: For out of the heart proceed, what?
A: Evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.

Q: Concerning man, what is the result of those things mentioned above?
A: He is defiled.

Q: Do unwashed hands defile a man? Yes or No.
A: No.

Q: What did the woman of Canaan tell Jesus that her daughter was grievously vexed with?
A: A devil.

Q: Did Jesus immediately respond to her? Yes or No.
A: No.

Q: What did His disciples want Jesus to do concerning her?
A: Send her away.

Q: Did the woman have faith that Jesus could heal her daughter? Yes or No.
A: Yes.

Q: What was Jesus's response to her when He realized where her faith was?
A: β€œO woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire.”

Q: What happened to her daughter?
A: She was healed.

Q: After this, what sea did Jesus pass along to sit upon the mountain?
A: The sea of Galilee.

Q: While there, who came to see Jesus?
A: Great multitudes.

Q: Who did they bring with them?
A: Those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others.

Q: When they were cast down at Jesus' feet, what did Jesus do to them?
A: He healed them.

Q: After this, what was their response?
A: They glorified the God of Israel.

Q: When Jesus called his disciples unto him, who did Jesus say that He had compassion on?
A: The multitude.

A: He took the seven loaves and fishes, gave thanks, and brake them.

Q: Who did Jesus give them to pass out to the multitude?
A: The disciples.

Q: How many were fed?
A: Four thousand men, beside women and children.

Q: Where did Jesus go from there?

Perseverance: Staying Strong Through Trials

Perseverance means continuing to work toward a goal, even when things get hard or take a long time. It’s about not giving up, even when we face challenges, delays, or hardships. In the Bible, perseverance is seen as a vital part of the Christian life, and many verses encourage us to keep going with faith and determination.

James 1:12 tells us, β€œBlessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” This shows that those who stay faithful through trials will be rewarded by God. Similarly, Romans 5:3-4 explains that suffering is not meaningless because it builds perseverance, which shapes our character and leads to hope.

Philippians 4:13 gives us confidence by reminding us that β€œI can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” God gives us the strength we need to keep going. Hebrews 12:1 encourages us to let go of sin and distractions so we can β€œrun with endurance the race that is set before us,” just as others have before us.

Finally, Galatians 6:9 says, β€œLet us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” This means our efforts will pay off if we stay faithful and do not give up.

These verses remind us that perseverance is not just about personal strength, it’s about trusting in God, leaning on His power, and continuing to do what is right, no matter how hard life gets.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hebrews 6:10-12

For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now β€œIf the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?” Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Matthew 6:25 KJV

Consequently, when Christ came into the world, He said, "Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body have you prepared for me; in burnt offerings and sin offerings you have taken no pleasure. Then I said, 'Behold, I have come to do your will, O God, as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.' then He added, "Behold, I have come to do your will." He does away with the first in order to establish the second. And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Hebrews 10:5-10

"O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.”
