This will in no way shape or form stop AlQassam's logistic lines, infact, it could very much be active today and the IDF would have no idea, Simply standing over the ground is not control, This can also be applied to Israel's presence within ALL of the Gaza strip, in which they claimed control over the Northern flank of the Strip then withdrew a few months later, However, that "Control" Was never in fact true, Yes, they were present, but they did not establish full control or clearance.
