🔥🇸🇦 - I have conducted an independent analysis on behalf of the GeoPWatch Team regarding reports of an attack on the Saudi Aramco Abqaiq oil processing facility.

The following has been identified:

• Reports from people on the ground of smoke in the Abqaiq area.

• Photos circulating online appearing to show smoke rising from the vicinity of the facility.

• NASA FIRMS / VIIRS data recorded multiple thermal hotspots at approximately 02:35 AST on 27 July.

After cross-checking FIRMS data from previous dates, the number and distribution of these thermal hotspots appear irregular compared to normal activity at the facility.

The available evidence I have found suggests an incident likely occurred at or near the Abqaiq facility. However, the extent of any damage remains unconfirmed and will require additional satellite imagery, verified footage, or official confirmation. It seems that yes that there is indeed a fire at Abqaiq facility, however it can't be confirmed if this is due to an attack or another industrial event.
