⚡️🇸🇦 – Reuters reports oil loading has stopped at the vital Saudi port of Yanbu, in western Saudi Arabia, following the Houthi strikes on the East-West Pipeline.

The port used to export millions of barrels of oil every day, which will be cut off from the market for as long as it takes to repair the pumping stations along the pipeline.

⚡️🇺🇸 – Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY), one of the loudest anti-Trump voices in Congress, presented a resolution to impeach U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for unlawful conduct regarding the war in Iran, as well as the raid on Venezuela and strikes on Yemen.

Hegseth survived a similar effort by House Democrats in April, but things have changed since then: the war is in a clear stalemate, oil prices continue rising, inflation threatens consumption in the U.S. and the war is spreading to Yemen, threatening another vital shipping lane.

Massie can force a House vote in the next two legislative days to put legislators on the record over Hegseth's conduct during the war, although it's unlikely the resolution would succeed even in the House.
