⚡️🇮🇩 – Indonesia will soon receive its first aircraft carrier, the KRI Gajah Mada, which is actually the former Italian carrier Giusseppe Garibaldi.

The Garibaldi set sail from Italy earlier this week, and is expected to arrive to Indonesia between September 15 and 20, escorted by some Italian frigates.

The four-decade-old ship is expected to be used mainly as a helicopter-capable platform. Indonesia will be the second Southeast Asian country to operate an aircraft carrier, 30 years after Thailand got its own.
