🇬🇧- UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband condemns Israel’s E1 settlement plans

➡️UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband has called Israel’s publication of a tender for the E1 settlement project “unacceptable and destructive,” warning that the project could cut across the West Bank and separate it from East Jerusalem.

➡️Miliband said the UK has demanded that Israel halt the E1 plans, retract the tender, and stop settlement expansion, while the Israeli Chargé d’Affaires was summoned to the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

➡️The UK government says settlement expansion threatens the viability of a two-state solution, with Miliband announcing that Britain will soon outline further measures, including sanctions targeting those involved in illegal settlement expansion.

Britain will not stand back and accept the destruction of the two-state solution.
