- German authorities have opened a sabotage investigation following two drone-related incidents at Leipzig/Halle Airport.

An explosive drone was discovered on the tarmac beside a Ukrainian Antonov transport aircraft, leading to the airport’s closure and the deployment of bomb disposal specialists and a robot.

Moments later, a departing DHL cargo aircraft was hit by an unidentified object at roughly 400 metres altitude, sustaining front-end damage leading to the aircraft conducting an emergency landing in Hannover.

Authorities are investigating if the unidentified object was a 2nd drone.
