Person on the flight reports that a source at the Dare County Regional Airport in Madison told them they are treating this as an attempted hijacking, and the FBI is on the way. In my opinion, this is likely precautionary.

Truax Field Air National Guard Base in Madison had also readied runways for F-35A "Lightning II" stealth fighter jets in service with the Wisconsin Air National Guard's 115th Fighter Wing.
