🇷🇺🇬🇧🇺🇦- A Royal Air Force Rivet Joint reconnaissance aircraft operating in the airspace over the Black Sea was intercepted by 2 Russian Aerospace Forces SU-35 fighter jets, with one passing as close as six meters and triggering the aircraft's onboard emergency systems. The RoAF aircraft had been conducting a routine flight in support of NATO operations along the Alliance's eastern flank.

➡️ The first SU-35 is equipped with R-27RE, R-27ER, and R-74E air-to-air missiles.

➡️ The second SU-35 is equipped with R-74E and R-77M AAMs, Kh-31 anti-ship missiles, and an L-265M10 Khibiny-M ECM pod.

🇮🇷- The Persian Gulf Strait Authority has published an image showing Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz:
The Islamic Republic of Iran has defined the regulatory jurisdiction for the management of the Strait of Hormuz as follows: "The line connecting Kuh-e Mubarak in Iran to the south of Fujairah in the UAE at the eastern entrance of the Strait to the line connecting the tip of Qeshm Island in Iran to Umm Al-Quwain in the UAE at the western entrance."

Transit through this area for the purpose of passing through the Hormuz Strait requires coordination with, and authorization from, the Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA).

🇹🇷- Turkey's KORKUT Air Defense System, developed by ASELSAN, made its first operational field appearance at the EFES 2026 exercise, one of the Turkish Armed Forces' most comprehensive drills.

➡️ Designed to counter low-altitude air threats, the system was tested against unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles, and low-altitude flying platforms during the exercise scenarios.

➡️ The KORKUT system is capable of neutralizing a wide range of threats, including fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, drones, cruise missiles, and various other aerial threats.

➡️ Developed entirely with domestic resources, it is designed for rapid deployment and immediate reaction and can operate in conjunction with mobile units. Its debut at EFES 2026 marks a significant milestone for Turkey's domestic defence industry and its short-range air defense capabilities.
