🇦🇪❌🇮🇷- According to the Wall Street Journal, the United Arab Emirates has carried out undisclosed military strikes against Iran, making it an active participant in the conflict.

➡️ Strikes included an attack on a refinery on Iran's Lavan Island in early April, which sparked a large fire and significantly reduced its capacity. Iran retaliated with missile and drone strikes against the UAE and Kuwait.

➡️ The UAE had previously been Iran's primary target throughout the war, having absorbed over 2,800 missiles and drones, severely impacting its aviation, tourism, and property sectors.

➡️ The US has quietly welcomed UAE involvement, and was not troubled by the refinery strike as the ceasefire had not yet taken hold at that point.
