Two measures that were agreed upon between the two parties have not been implemented so far: a ceasefire in Lebanon and the release of frozen Iranian assets before the start of negotiations.

These two matters must be accomplished before the negotiations begin.

Prior to October 7, [which was] a preemptive strike unprecedented in the history of the Zionist entity, the Qassam Brigades, through aerial surveillance and in conjunction with a cyberattack, discovered a treacherous Zionist plan, an operation of the following name: “The Cry of the Young Over the Old” (“בכיית הילדים על המבוגרים”, “Bchiat ha-yaladim al ha-mvugarim”).

This operation aimed to assassinate 40 of the highest-ranking members of the leadership of al-Qassam and their families in the first strike, using warplanes, within less than half an hour. It also aimed to bomb all al-Qassam sites and all affiliated targets. It was estimated that there would be ten thousand martyrs in the first strike alone. This would be followed by the beginning of a large ground operation aimed at destroying rocket platforms.

This is one of the reasons, though not the main reason, that led to the 7 October operation. ‘And Allah is predominant over His affair; but most people do not know.’
