Over the past two days, the desert of the eastern countryside of Homs has witnessed successive attacks by ISIS against military points belonging to Lebanese Hezbollah.
The attacks resulted in material losses, many deaths, injuries, and a number of party members, including leaders, being captured.
ISIS attacked, on Monday evening, 3 military posts close to each other within the Palmyra desert in the eastern countryside of Homs, using machine guns, medium weapons, and anti-aircraft weapons in large numbers.
The three targeted points, which had an area of one kilometre, were attacked within just one hour of eachother, causing confusion within Regime ranks without the capability of military reinforcements arriving to assist and support the defending military posts.
During the first attack, the initial outpost was infiltrated and stormed, with a soldier and a leader being captured, and the the rest of the soldiers being shot.
The leader who was captured is named Jamil Weizani, a Lebanese national, and one of the field commanders of Hezbollah, responsible for the establishment of several forward operating bases inside the Palmyra Desert.
The storming and clash at the initial post resulted in the killing of 4 members and the wounding of 3 others with various injuries, in addition to the capture of the leader and a member with him.
Within less than 20 minutes, the ISIS members attacked a second military post approximately 800 meters away from the first one, with machine guns and anti-aircraft weapons, sparking violent clashes between the two sides, as the members of the post also used machine guns and anti-aircraft guns installed on the point for defensive measures.
The second attack resulted in the death of 3 defending soldiers and the wounding of 3 others with various injuries, in addition to the damage to two cars equipped with two 14.5 mm machine guns, and the almost complete destruction of the post.
As for the third point, ISIS attacked it 30 minutes after the second attack, using machine guns, and RPG shells. This attack was considered the most violent due to the third post's fortification and the presence of more than 14 soldiers defending it. The clash of the third post lasted for approximately 20 minutes, resulting in the injury of 3 ISIS terrorists and the killing of one, with 6 members of Hezbollah being killed and 8 others being injured with various injuries.
No military reinforcements from Hezbollah arrived in the area until yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, as they transported the damaged equipment and cars, disbanded the first and second pists, and worked to re-reinforce and fortify the third post, with dozens of members, heavy machinery, and armored vehicles now deployed in the area.

๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ต๐ธ๐จโผ๏ธ Gaza man with Down's syndrome attacked by IDF dog and left to die, mother tells BBC.
Muhammed Bhar, who had severe disabilities, lived in Gaza with his family. He was terrified by the war and found it difficult to cope with the constant shelling.
On June 27, the family was ordered to evacuate, but they were exhausted from constant moving due to bombings.
On July 3, IDF soldiers, accompanied by a combat dog, raided their home. Despite his mother's pleas for mercy, the dog attacked Muhammed. Soldiers attempted basic first aid but ultimately left him alone.
When the family returned a week later, they found Muhammed dead from untreated wounds. The family is demanding an investigation, but with ongoing conflict, they remain uncertain about its likelihood.
