Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
At a time when positions and statements are being made regarding the relationship between Syria and Turkey, the Syrian Arab Republic would like to recall that it has always been keen on making a clear distinction between peoples on the one hand, and the policies and practices of governments that have harmed Syria and its countries on the other hand, as proven by facts and events.
Syria was, and still is, based on the firm conviction that the interests of countries are built on a sound relationship between them and not on conflict or hostility. Based on that, Syria was keen to deal positively with the various initiatives that were put forward to improve relations between them and those countries. In the same context, Syria dealt with... Initiatives to correct the Syrian-Turkish relationship.
Syria believes that the result of these initiatives is not a media goal, but rather a purposeful path based on existing facts, and built on specific principles that govern the relationship between the two countries, the basis of which is respect for sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, and confronting everything that threatens their security and stability, and serves the common interest of the two countries and the two peoples.
Syria stresses that any initiative in this regard must be built on clear foundations to ensure reaching the desired results, represented by the return of relations between the two countries to their normal state, and at the forefront of these foundations is the withdrawal of forces present illegally from Syrian territory, and the fight against terrorist groups that do not threaten the security of Syria. Not only this, but also Turkey's security.
Syria expresses its thanks and appreciation to the brotherly and friendly countries that are making sincere efforts to correct the Syrian-Turkish relationship, and affirms that the return of the normal relationship between the two countries is based on the return of the situation that prevailed before 2011, which is the basis for the security, safety and stability of the two countries.

His response was:
" *Laughs* I'll tell you what, i don't think of it that way, first of all Americans know it's our policy, it's also their policy but why would we risk something getting leaked?, suppose this happens, Muhammed Deif will hide within a second"

๐ ๐ด ๐ด How does the Islamic State compare to Al Qaeda?
๐ Sahelian Analyst: JNIM has much higher manpower but is only concentrated in the Sahel, compared to IS global who has around a dozen active provinces all around the world, but if you compare JNIM to ISWAP and ISSP when they eventually merge then IS would become a real threat to JNIM along with the junta governments.
๐ถ๏ธ Also IS focuses more on quality then quantity, JNIM for example is an umbrella organization composed of many factions, so entire groups could leave overnight and join IS like it happened a few years ago and happened for Boko Haram, compared to IS whose fighters are tied to the central leader and don't have this much autonomy on their own groups.
๐ถ๏ธ There is also a different in term of governance, ISSP inherited from the state that was once in Syria and Iraq and now has the necessary systems to quickly apply on new territory, they also receive more foreign fighters due to IS being favored globally more than JNIM, there is a lot to ramble on but this is important to know.
