🇮🇷🚀🇺🇸🇮🇱 - A study by CSIS in December 2025 highlighted the shortfall in the US missile defense production. In the 12-Day War, the US expenditure of ballistic missile interceptors such as SM-3 and THAAD amounted to over a year worth of production and ~20% of their total inventories.

In the Ramadan War of 2026, Iran has launched, by most estimates, over 1000 ballistic missiles, nearly double the number of launches in the 12-Day War.

The US defense industry is working to ramp up the production of key munitions but the effort will take years. Lockheed Martin recently embarked on a seven-year plan to increase THAAD interceptor production from 96 to 400 a year.

🇰🇵🚀🇯🇵🇰🇷🤝🇺🇸 - North Korea test launched 10 ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan, just a few days after the US transferred parts of its THAAD missile defense system from South Korea to the Middle East, AP reported.

🇮🇷🛢❌🇺🇸🇮🇱 - WSJ reported that Iran has begun diverting its oil flow to the smaller export terminal Jask following the US attacks and further threats on Kharg island.

The Jask terminal (Bandar-e Jask) is situated in shallower water just east of the Hormuz and has a lower capacity of 1 million barrels per day, making it less suitable for loading large crude carriers. It is, however, vastly more defensible than Kharg island against a potential amphibious assault.

Iran currently exports 2 million barrels of crude per day.
