🇮🇷❌🇺🇸🛳 - 16 commercial vessels have been damaged or destroyed in the first 2 weeks of the war. Iran is capable of denying commercial shipping well beyond the Strait of Hormuz, threatening vessels throughout the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.

The attacks affect not only the oil trade but also disrupted the food supply of the Gulf States, FT reported. Once responsible for 70% of the region's food supply, the blockaded Hormuz strait has forced countries to turn to costly truck convoys and cargo flights to keep the shelves stocked.
