Reporting from Israeli YNet and Iranian sources that an F-15 was shot down by Iranian air defense has now been confirmed by Fox News correspondent Lucas Tomlinson and connected accounts.

The F-15 was apparently struck by an Iranian SAM while conducting a strike mission in Southwestern Iran., with U.S. Combat Search and Rescue assets allegedly successfully extracting both the pilot and the Weapon’s Officer. Official confirmation from CENTCOM is expected in the coming days.
