🇮🇱❌🇵🇸- How did Netanyahu thwart prisoner exchange deals time after time?

➡️ January 17, 2024 | Netanyahu cancels the outcomes of the preparatory meetings for the first Paris meeting without coordination with the War Council or the Israeli negotiating team, and hardens Israel’s position.

➡️ January 24, 2024 | Netanyahu is delaying granting a mandate to the Israeli negotiating team and delaying the holding of the first Paris meeting. The Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman attacked him in a public tweet for the first time.

➡️ 28 - 31 January 2024 | The first Paris meeting, and making progress therein. The Mossad chief was surprised, upon his return to Israel, by Netanyahu’s publication of 5 statements in which he emphasized the gaps, revealing secret information during the negotiations.

➡️ 6 February 2024 | In the midst of contacts to reach a humanitarian truce before Ramadan, the Hamas movement announced that it had responded in a positive spirit to the mediators’ initiatives, but Netanyahu was quick to leak statements to Channel 13 under the name of a “senior Israeli political official” declaring that Hamas’ position meant rejecting the deal.

➡️ 13 February 2024 | Cairo meeting. Netanyahu was delaying sending a delegation to the meeting, and when he sent it, he did so without giving it a mandate and accompanied by his personal advisor to restrain the head of the Mossad. He then refrained from sending a delegation to complete the discussions despite the negotiating team’s support for this.

➡️ 23 February 2024 | Second Paris meeting. Netanyahu calls the head of the Mossad while on his way to Paris to inform him of the reduction of the mandate granted to him despite its approval in the War Council.

➡️ 16 March 2024 | Netanyahu refuses to hold a war council meeting to discuss the authorization of the negotiating team on the eve of supposed talks in Doha. The army representative in the negotiating team leaked to the media his anger at Netanyahu’s actions.

➡️ 8 April 2024 | Negotiations were renewed to reach an “interim deal” during which 33 Israeli prisoners and detainees would be released. The Israeli army announces its withdrawal from Khan Yunis. However, after threats from Smotrich, Netanyahu announced a military operation in Rafah, which caused the negotiations to explode.

➡️ 25 April 2024 | Netanyahu leaked confidential information from the negotiations to Smotrich, who subsequently leaked it to the media, causing the negotiations to explode again.

➡️ 26 April 2024 | Netanyahu contacts the Israeli negotiating team without the knowledge of the Israeli War Council, to reduce the mandate granted to him.

➡️ 4 May 2024 | Netanyahu anticipates a response expected by Hamas mediators to an Israeli proposal for an exchange deal, by issuing a statement declaring his refusal to end the war “in any way.”

➡️ 6 May 2024 | Hamas accepted the Israeli proposal presented to it in an official statement. Netanyahu, before holding security consultations or holding high-level meetings, is quick to reject the movement’s response.

➡️ June 1 | President Biden's speech announcing his plan for the swap deal and to end the war.

➡️ June 3 | Netanyahu leaks his statements from the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee that he opposes what was stated in Biden’s plan to end the war.

➡️ June 23 | Netanyahu announces in an interview with Channel 14 that he is only interested in a partial deal.

🇮🇱🛫🇶🇦- israel's negotiations team, led by the heads of the Mossad and Shen Bet, and the IDF representative Nitzan Alon has arrived in Doha.

This comes at the same time as the battles intensify in Gaza city and the IDF denands an evacuation of the entire city.

🇺🇸❌🇳🇪 - American troops/equipment beeing repatriated from Agadez 201 Base, Niger since the Niamey's base evacuation is done.

🇮🇱❌🇵🇸- Israeli Defense Minister:
We are determined to hold accountable the “human animals” and all those who worked against our citizens, and they will face either prison or the cemetery

🇺🇦❌🇷🇺- Fishermen film a cruise missile on its way to Ukraine.

😯my opinion:
I think there are 2 options of why Saudi Arabia might be doing this:

1- Saudi Arabia is trying to stop Russia from giving houthis advanced weapons by opposing the EU step of confiscating Russian assets.
2- Saudi Arabia fears that similar steps might be taken in the future against them.
