🇵🇸 - Yesterday, US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff announced that phase two of Trump’s Ceasefire Plan in Gaza has begun, of which it aims to demilitarize the strip, establish a technocratic Palestinian governing entity (NCAG) and begin reconstruction efforts.

📝 Witkoff explicitly stated that:

the US expects Hamas to comply fully with its obligations, including the immediate return of the final deceased hostage. Failure to do so will bring serious consequences.

The Hamas political party, alongside other smaller parties in Gaza, have welcomed the efforts and has expressed full commitment, though has highlighted that Israel is actively evading the ceasefire agreement's obligations through violence and continuous border closures.

🇵🇸 - In lights of the start of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, the IDF has begun a round of intensive strikes across the strip today.

The strikes targeted multiple residential homes across central Gaza's 'Deir AlBalah', southern Gaza's Khan Yunis, and northern Gaza's 'Tuffah'.

Atleast 9 Palestinians have been killed in the strikes, including AlQassam Brigades Commander and Border Protection Officer Muhammad Hamed AlHawali "Abu Fou'ad", targeted in central Gaza's western 'Deir AlBalah' alongside his family.

The AlQassam Brigades has acknowledged his death.
