🇱🇧❌🇱🇧- Following the allegations yesterday regarding the Beirut Airport being used as a Hezbollah/Iran weapons storage, which was widely shared by western, Saudi, and few Lebanese media, which caused wide reactions on Lebanese social media among the citizens.

💻 On X (formerly twitter), a number of Lebanese citizens, mostly Maronite Christians who back the Lebanese Forces party in general, shared thousands of posts condemning and attacking Hezbollah for the accusations.

🇱🇧 Some of them, have also demanded demanded to open the "Qlayaat Airport", located in the northern part of the country, claiming that Beirut airport has became under full control of Hezbollah and not the Lebanese authorities,yesterday the minister of tourism has also asked to open this same airport in a speech where he denied the allegations.

🇱🇧 Other users, mostly pro Hezbollah accounts, claimed that these accusations were false, and shared reports of Ghassan Hasbani, a PM and a member of the Lebanese Forces party in Lebanon of making the statement the Telegraph cited (regarding the airport being used by Hezbollah), moreover, following the demands of opening the Qlayaat airport some Lebanese accounts accused the pro Lebanese Forces accounts of pushing towards the bombing of Beirut airport so they could open Qlayaat airport under their control, where France then can land there with weapons to arm them and establish an autonomous Maronite state in Mount Lebanon, or trigger a civil war.
