🇵🇭❌🇵🇭 — 2 soldiers killed and 12 injured in MILF attack in Sumisp, Basilan, southern Philippines.

A rogue group of MILF (Moro Islamic Liberation Front) fighters opened fire on Armed Forces of Phllippines soldiers, killing 2 and wounding 12.

MILF, previously a rebel Islamist group fighting the government, is mostly reconciled with the Armed Forces, this could start a new round of civil war in the unstable southern Philippines if not contained.

🇲🇱🛫 — Alliance of Sahel States Confederation (AES) announces new passports to be in use starting from the 29th January 2025.

Former passports will be valid until their expiration date, and any holder of Malian, Nigerien or Burkinabe passport can exchange theirs for a new AES one.
