Both Russian President Vladimir Putin and head of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) Ahmad al-Sharaa, whom the Russians have begun to call ‘the leader of the new Syrian authorities,’ have shown remarkable pragmatism in dealing with the issue of Russian-Syrian relations for the next stage, including the fate of Russian military bases on the Mediterranean coast of Syria. Recent statements made by the leader of the Syrian authorities, and then the Russian president, reinforce the belief that Russia will maintain these bases, but the question remains how and on what basis.

The AlQassam Unit stabbing and killing yet another 3 IDF Infantry soldiers guarding an IDF stronghold, and then proceeding to storm the fortified building and kill all IDF Infantry soldiers inside at point-blank range, capturing their weapons.
The AlQassam Unit was also able to re-capture Palestinian hostages kidnapped by the killed IDF Force during this operation.
