In its 2026 message, the group claims that Balochistan has existed as an independent nation since August 11, 1947, and demands recognition from the UN and other international organisations. It also lays out an ambitious vision for a future state, including its own passport, currency, military, diplomatic missions and trade institutions, while claiming vast mineral and energy wealth.
The statement further alleges that Pakistan has imposed internet and mobile shutdowns and increased security deployments across parts of Balochistan to prevent Independence Day demonstrations. It claims celebrations are nevertheless taking place across the region and among Baloch communities worldwide.
