“Every time a person reflects upon this magnificent Qur’an and remembers what it contains, its blessing will be bestowed upon him—in his lifespan, in his deeds, in his certainty (faith), and in all of his circumstances.”

Al-Hāfidh Ibn Kathir (rahimahullāh) said in his Tafsīr, under the following verse:
﴿ وَنَبْلُوكُمْ بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً ﴾
(“And We test you with evil and with good as a trial” – Qur’an 21:35).
Meaning, We test you with calamities at times, and with blessings at other times to see who is grateful and who is ungrateful, and who will be patient and who will fall into despair.”

Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
“As for Uthman, he himself was shy, so the angels felt shy from him, because the reward is of the same kind as the deed.”
