Off topic: Prototaxities, the only big land life for tens of millions of years that dominated the surface before trees, is apparently not made of mushroom (as it was believed for ages).

Both chemical and structural analysis of well-preserved fossils in Scotland failed to match mushrooms from the same sediment. It's an absolutely new form of life. And studying a 400 million years old life is not easy.

It used to have huge ring-enforced structures inside to pass liquids and gases + smaller ones to distribute it further (very similar to lungs and blood vessels). But there are no signs that it was an animal either. But what do we know about life if we fail to determine WTF is Paleodictyon nodosum which still exists, we just can't find anything but traces of it.

The game is huge: three main protagonists with their own chapters and interconnected stories + some extra ones in DLCs. I'm still not even halfway through.

Constant survival, when the character has to sleep, eat, drink, dress accordingly to each type of places, and such. You learn to lock the doors, switch costumes, plan every move.

And typical "multiple options" to solve most of the problems: stealth, combat, faking your access, and such.

The writing is good, every story is heartbreaking, a lot of things kicks you out of nowhere. I just dropped it just to breathe a bit.

Google is now legally responsible for its AI generated "facts" in the overview section.

In some cases they were actually keeping some of wrong things as the preferable answers if they were getting more attention from users = improved their revenue from the search request.

Remember I recommended you We Happy Few during the whole previous week, since it was notoriously well written?

Well, the studio behind it is reportedly being closed. No official confirmation yet but South of Midnight was equally creative but didn't get enough sales. And it's not enough to make three games in 15 years.

The company is still making their next game, but Kotaku and Insider-Gaming reported that employees believe that closure "is just a matter of time".

Two months ago they were posting job openings, then last week several employees set green badges on LN.

The flagship Paris office of Don't Nod (Remember Me, Life is Strange, Vampyr, Banishers) is running out of funds. They will not have any money by November of 2026 and desperately looking for a publishing deal. Their biggest shareholder Tencent refused to cooperate further.

Semi-independent office in Montreal is a different entity sponsored by Netflix. Their partnership continues regardless.
