Subnautica 2 is now set to earn up to $250m for the studio founders. Which means, it will make the publisher Krafton lose devastating 35% of their annual turnover to pay out.

For the game to start making money for Krafton it has to sell over 12 million copies — before that they will only lose. Over 4 million are sold already, but it will be the most painful year for the naughty publisher.

Krafton have tried to fire the founders, steal the game, and go to court with the filing made by the CEO Changhan Kim via Chat GPT (since his own lawyers refused to commit a crime). The idiotic case inevitably failed, the game succeeded, and the founders will get their paychecks. Absolute Cinema!
