The demo of Marathon is failing to retain players. And it's a free run of a generally paid game. As of now, nothing indicates that sales will be good. People have tried it โ€” PlayStation fans, Bungie fans, but they didn't get the point. My bet: 5-10K onlineโ€ฆ
The free Marathon demo is losing players daily. Unlike many other games, it failed to bounce back during the weekend and by Monday dipped to 18K (against 143K on its first day). That's 87% loss in less than a week.

The final game is planned to be paid and it doesn't look good for Bungie and Sony.

NACON has no more money to operate its property and trying to settle it with investors. They are the company behind Cyanide (Styx), Daedalic (Deponia, Gollum, State of Mind), Spiders (GreedFall, Steelrising). In total there are over 25 companies, 1000+ employeesโ€ฆ
Since Nacon has no budget to burn, they moved the planned presentation two months forward. And promise to fix the budgeting issue.

They are the company behind Spiders, Daedalic, and dozens of other studios around the world. They unified over the years to be more resilient but it kinda didn't work out.

Microslop is slopping again: they banned tons of people permanently for saying Microslop, then everyone started to do so and they locked down the server

Microslop: never stop sloppin!

The post is not fully correct: using this checkbox on an expensive microphone was always wrong. Such mics should only be managed via their custom apps to get proper results.

Insane story: a random collector purchased a bunch of consoles and unfinished games from a scrapyard.

The police raided his place and took it all away. Without any compensation. And placed him under investigation.

Someone found a glitch or hack in Fortnite creative. Players report that the brainrot game is stealing all their V-Bucks without them even opening it ever. And Epic Games refused to explain or refund anything so far.

Can I remind you that this was filmed years ago and we literally got exactly this in a form of Open AI military deal.

The video is written by the professor from Berkeley, Stuart Russell, who tried to limit AI research and ensure their legal grounds before implementation. His efforts failed, he's still trying.

You know who funded the video back then? Elon Musk.

Laura reveals she was kicked out after an unnamed executive handed her a bathrobe to put on at GDC 2004. She refused, left immediately, and was reorganized out of her role the following week. Even with the support of several colleagues, the HR team gave up on her.

Phil Spencer then stepped in
, bringing her onto his team where she contributed to titles like Gears of War.

Phil is generally praised by everyone who speaks of him as a colleague and boss.

And the inevitable ๐Ÿ˜”

If you missed my posts about it: I've tried the game a week ago, and spent 16 hours in it, and liked a lot of things that defining Highguard. Their team play features, sieges, character skills, and so on.

But flaws are obvious in level design, weapons design, optimization, loot, mining and upgrades, and many other things.

And yet: it's free, go try it out before it's gone. The learning curve is steep but when passed through it will be a fun time.
