You can now eliminate stutters with the custom local pre-compiler: haven't checked yet though it looks curious. It's still in beta but a few supported games have huge benefits.

Microsoft, Epic, and some other companies are working on CLOUD BASED solution, this one is fully offline.

There are more people using Blender on Steam than playing an average live service game 😎

Surreal: F1 cars stuck at 30 km/h due to the software bug. The reason is that all of them have to use one piece of code from F1 regulations to be "compatible" with the event.

Who would win: a multi-billion dollar corporation or a bunch of kids with vibe coded PS5 emulators?

You can now buy used PS5 Pro in GameStop for $1400 and that's more expensive than the new ones... but actually there are none, since both new and used ones are out of stock.

For a few hours a brave and crazy fella ran a GTA V via Web Assembly in the browser. Now the website is down (but yeah, I can say it worked)

The game was not loading the whole thing at once but more like on-demand streaming. But it was running on a local CPU and GPU as the advanced browser game.

Not sure what the infrastructure was behind the website but it must've been good. And it's likely that he took it down out of legal issues rather than server limitations.

Do you understand that most of the recent viral game industry stories are vibe coding? PS5 emulators, mods, the GTA V in the browser, the shaders pre-compilation β€” they are vibe coded.

And it's absolutely unstoppable. You can make all the laws in the world against it and even local models will do unimaginable crap in the right hands. And if you make local limits, some countries will not follow.

It will not take long to hit some payment systems or government infrastructures as they are already providing access to AI agents anyway.

If you make a Steam playtest and invite the exact people who signed up for this Steam playtest in the last couple of weeks, at least some of them will be absolutely confused about who you are and why are they invited.

The more you know! πŸ˜‰

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve surpassed every other game in the series and landed on the first place among Steam top paid games last week. Who would've guessed, right? 😁

But a free to play Aion 2 (with tons of provocative paid skins) sits even higher and peaked at almost 400 000 CCU. And unlike all the paid games, it stays up for at least another week β€” still #1 today.
