I created a personal TikTok account and was immediately shadow-banned. I can't like, follow, comment, chat, or upload videos. I'm just there now.
Initially they hinted with "if it's a mistake, [let us know]", notified me that restrictions are lifted. They just weren't actually.
I asked their support, and they said, "It's not a bug, it's our suggestion for you to got fuck yourself. Why? Can't tell, bitch!"
Funny enough, that's the experience of making any new account on TT these days, same with Facebook and some other platforms. That's "to fight bots, you know" — cool, why are there still bots?
