How to Install A10/A11 GSI Roms on the Galaxy J2 Core📱

❗️Warning ❗️
I recommend you to Backup your data and phone firmware first. Not for 2020 models.

📝Original Post: Here

Notes:
• Pre-installed Camera may be unstable (use Footej or Open camera)
• Offline charging bug
• Gestures do not work on some Gsi roms
• Selinux is permissive
• Screen lock delay
• Other bugs may be rom dependant

Prep/Instructions:
1. Download the Gsi Roms. Then extract them using 7zip or Winrar. The extracted folder will now contain the Gsi system images.
2. For larger Gsi roms, do the re-partitioning guide.
3. For the available Gsi roms, you may skip the re-partitioning guide.

Installing Available Gsi roms:
(Repartitioning not required)

Step 1:
Wipe the following Parttions: Dalvik/Art Cache, Data, and Cache(Format Data if it can't Wipe).

Step 2:
Flash/Install the vendor, Kebab 2.0_Exynos_7570.zip.

Step 3:
Change Data partition to EXT4 file system.

Step 4:
Flash System.img of GSI rom and reboot.

Struggling ? You can watch the video guide here📽.

Installing other/larger Gsi roms:
(Requires re-partitioning)

Step 1:
First do the Re-partitioning guide before proceeding.

Step 2:
Wipe the following Partitions: Dalvik/Art Cache, Data, System and Cache.

Step 3:
Flash/Install the vendor, Kebab 2.0_Exynos_7570.zip.

Step 4:
Change the Data partition to EXT4 file system.

Step 5: Flash System.img of GSI rom and change data partition to EXT4 file system again. Reboot

Q: What is the Kebab Project ?
A: Google what a vendor.img is, and read here.
Q: What is the difference between a Gsi and a normal rom ?
A: Gsi stands for generic system image. Not-device-specific roms.
Q: Can't Install Gapps ?
A: This is because you didn't do the re-partitioning guide.
To bypass gapps flashing error, do the following:
In Twrp's Advanced Wipe screen, select System>Repair or Change File System>Resize File System. Now install gapps normally.
Q: What does agZ, bgZ, bvN, and etc mean?
A: The different types of gsi builds for a single rom(Read Here).
Q: How to change Data partition to EXT4 file system ?
A: In Twrp>Wipe>Advanced Wipe>Select Data & Repair or Change File System>Change File System>EXT4.
