I know the manifesto just came out but I think we need to stress the importance of making atlas completion actually rewarding.

Completing the atlas is a grind and it's something we have to do every league. If the bonuses are rewarding then progressing through the atlas feels good and makes me want to play the league for longer. Last league was the first time I actually felt that I was being rewarded for completing atlas compared to doing some meta atlas manipulation strategy and it felt AMAZING. I know that maps have been used as a mechanism for gaining wealth in the past, but not having to worry about maps for a league felt really refreshing. I felt like I could do what I wanted and really scale everything how I wanted to, rather than being forced to do the most cost efficient thing all the time when it comes to maps. This whole "Well delve cities are worthless now" argument is bad and there should be a different solution to that.

League-end craft. Had just a couple of fossils (2x serrated, sanctified, bound and pristine) put into prime resonators. 1st try was absolute garbage and 2nd try gave me this. Thanks game, although I'd appreciate it more at the start of the league.

Unpopular Opinion: So long as I don't need to buy any maps from other players I don't care if I'm running subpar map types

Yes, some maps take longer to run than others, and have phased bosses or backtracking in them which aren't ideal. But so long as I have a consistent supply of high maps I really don't care if I'm running the occasional cells map. The variety keeps me playing much much more than the chaos per minute ratio ever could.

Hey guys, I don't play poe, but my partner does and he is super excited for this upcoming league thing. Do you guys have any tips of something cool I can do to surprise him?

If he is taking off two days from work to play this has got to be some serious game stuff. I like what he has shown me, but I have the attention span of a gnat and can't get into it so I don't know how to surprise him.

I'm already going to cover the cooking and chores so he can relive his adolescent gaming sessions, but I was hoping to do something more that is related to the game. Any ideas?

Increase the item pick-up range

My suggestion is to increase the item pick-up range. I usually use a pretty strict filter showing splinters/currency and still I fine myself stutter stepping when I pick-up items, sometimes just pressing "Z" ( the button to hide/show loot) a few items fixes the issue. Most of the time my character will walk up/down/left/right as I click on the times, this usually cause me to miss click causing me to click more then I would like. I've noticed complaints of sore wrists/carpal tunnel caused from spam clicking items, I'm sure most of complaints are memes but they have a valid point. During the break between leagues I've been playing Diablo 2, I noticed that the item pick-up range is massive in comparison to POE which means my character doesn't stutter step and makes a better experience picking up items/coins. I believe that increasing the item pick-up range would make picking up items in POE a better experience. It would reduce miss clicking, and spam clicking.

Hierophant "Arcane Blessing" should grant level 20 Arcane Surge

I mean it's 4 point node. The Arcane Surge it grants should definitely be on par with level 20 Arcane Surge gem. This is the same case as Slayers old Impact node that granted Melee Splash which felt like level 1 Melee Splash or worse.

Let's make a list of all monster explode sources in the game

I couldn't find a list of currently existing monster explode mods in the game. I was specifically looking for mods that do damage in an area (to other monsters) after one monster died and not just removed the corpse of the defeated monster. Since a lot of different exlod-ish things popped up, I'll add those, too.

[Build showcase] Defence is the best Defence - face tank most hits and good clear

This build stems from Mathil's Armagaddon Brand Beeftain as a template. Bossing damage is dealt by brand and flame surge. Map clearing is very smooth, achieved via explody chest with full phys to fire conversion, pretty standard stuff.

The part that this build really shines are the two juicy defence layers, namely:

**1. phys damage taken converted to elemental -- 20% helmet; 15% chest; 23% watcher's eye (godly jewel would be 36%); 5% lethal pride (potential up to 20%); 10% ascendancy. That's 74% conversion all the time, with another 20% temporarily available from Taste of Hate. Basically all end game physical slams are trivial.**

**2. 100% elemental ailment immunity achieved -- 25% gloves; 25% helmet; 35% boots; 15% Crystal Skin annointment. It's really nice to forget about getting shocked from awakener. For mapping I use a DPS glove.**

When all incoming damages are elemental, elemental reduction nodes from tree and skills becomes very effective. I ran a Flesh and Stone aura and low level cwdt to further mitigate the damage.

On top of that, I have 74% block to attack and 50% block to spell with little investment (lethal pride), and HP pool of 6800. During awakener fights I just swap to a Kaom's Heart and relax with my high life of 8400. Never got one shot, can confortablly tank Awakener's maze meteror.

POB is not acurate due to the two Thread of Hope jewels I took. I jump to Heart of Flame, Fire Walker, Rune Binder and Tireless.

Total cost of gear is roughly 40 exa (I got really lucky with that chest, only cost me 15 exa).

To sum it up, what I really want to show is an alternative way of enjoying today's fast paced POE. I had plenty of frustration dying when playing X million DPS characters, and now have finally found myself a cozy pocket of playstyle.
