We have some unfortunate news regarding the planned registration opening, which our website countdown listed as Saturday, March 21st (tomorrow).

Over the past month, a number of major changes and unexpected developments came up during the final stages of planning. Even with extra buffer time, a few important things still need to be corrected, updated, and properly communicated.

To support and protect the well-being of Furvaria’s amazing volunteer staff, we have made the decision to postpone registration opening by one week. This will give our team the time needed to adjust to the new conditions and update all relevant information on the website and within the registration process.

The new registration opening date is:
SATURDAY, MARCH 28th — 20:00 CET

We know delays are never ideal, but we’re super excited for everything we’re preparing for Furvaria 2, and we can’t wait to share it all with you!

In the meantime, please give our team lots of love and appreciation for everything they’re doing behind the scenes. They’ve been working incredibly hard to make this event the best it can be. ❤️

Important information regarding accommodation for Furvaria 2!

Due to other events in the region, hotels are almost fully booked from June 11th to 14th.

We have reserved a limited number of hotel rooms, but these are only available for a limited time and the number of rooms is restricted.

New this year is the option to camp directly at the convention venue with a tent or campervan! Our venue ensures a great camping experience, including sanitary containers with showers and toilets, located right next to the campsite.

After a longer period of preparation, we’re excited to finally share some news today: for the interactive project we are currently creating for Furvaria 2026, we’ll be working together with a Munich-based studio going forward.

Well, judging by the post date, it really did look like an April Fools’ joke. Or… did it? 🤔

While the cooperation with the made-up game studio startup — and all the suspicious monetization plans — was entirely fictional, the project internally codenamed Furvaria Village is very REAL.

Wait, what? Yes, you read that correctly. Since this year’s Furvaria theme is Retro Games, we thought: why not celebrate it together with all of you by creating a small pixel-style game especially for Furvaria? 👾

And of course, as a fandom proud of its artists and engineers, Project Furvaria Village is being built by furries, for furries.

The only “investors” we are listening to are YOU: our attendees and volunteers. You are the reason projects like this can happen at all, and we’re excited to explore, test, and share all the ideas we have in store for Furvaria. ❤️

Thanks to your feedback, we’ve changed how we design Furvaria’s website.

In the first Furvaria survey, many of you loved the website but also criticised that the menu was too playful and sometimes hard to navigate. We listened and made changes.

To ensure you have a more user-friendly website this year, you can now customize it to suit your needs.

Since 1950, it is a common tradition in bavaria to officially start off a Volksfest with a ceremonial beer tapping.

Similarly, just as last year, we will commence the #Furvaria2026 with a beer tapping ourselves, which will take place on the first day of the convention, shortly after the opening ceremony.

Attendants of all tiers are invited to participate in this event; so come grab a mug and join us to celebrate the start of the next Furvaria!

"The amount was debited from my bank account, why is my ticket not confirmed yet?"

We are currently receiving inquiries regarding payment status, usually when SEPA Direct Debit is involved as the payment method.

Please note: SEPA Direct Debit is not a real-time payment method. Unlike credit card payments or instant bank transfers, payment processing takes place with a delay and involves several banks and payment service providers. As a result, confirmation of the payment may take several business days. Business days for banking do not include weekends or public holidays (especially considering the recent Easter holidays), which further extends processing times.

This means that even if the amount already appears as debited from your account, it unfortunately does not yet mean that the payment has already been received by us. It may still take a few more days until the bank confirms the incoming payment to us.

We have no direct influence over this process and unfortunately cannot speed it up. We therefore kindly ask for your patience until the payment has been fully confirmed. Payment reminders are sent out automatically by our ticketing software (it assumes open payment until the bank has confirmed); if the amount was already debited from your account, you may ignore this reminder for now.

Wichtig zu wissen: Die SEPA-Lastschrift ist keine Echtzeit-Zahlung. Anders als bei Kreditkartenzahlungen oder Sofort-/Echtzeitüberweisungen erfolgt die Zahlungsabwicklung zeitversetzt über mehrere beteiligte Banken und Zahlungsdienstleister. Daher kann die Bestätigung der Zahlung mehrere Bankarbeitstage in Anspruch nehmen. Bitte beachtet auch: Bankarbeitstage schließen Wochenenden und Feiertage (Ostern!) nicht ein. Dadurch verlängert sich die Bearbeitungszeit zusätzlich.

Das bedeutet: Auch wenn der Betrag auf dem eigenen Konto bereits als abgebucht angezeigt wird, heißt das leider noch nicht, dass die Zahlung bei uns schon eingegangen ist. Bis uns die Bank den Zahlungseingang anzeigt, können noch einige Tage vergehen.

Wir haben auf diesen Ablauf keinen direkten Einfluss und können die Bearbeitung leider nicht beschleunigen. Daher bitten wir um etwas Geduld, bis die Zahlung vollständig bestätigt wurde. Zahlungserinnerungen werden automatisch versandt und können zunächst ignoriert werden, sofern die Zahlung bereits abgebucht wurde (die Software kann nur auf die Zahlungsbestätigung durch die Bank warten).
