"I'm not going to set a timetable for the President Trump. He has not done that, and I won't.
I know there's been some anonymous sourced reporting that there was maybe a three to five day deadline — that is not true.
The president has not set a deadline himself. Ultimately, he will dictate the timetable".

🇺🇸🇨🇳 Global sales of smartphone are expected to fall by 13% in 2026 compared to the previous year - a decline of about 160 million units - to roughly 1.1 billion devices per year.
That marks a sharp reversal from annual growth of 2% in 2025 and 6% in 2024.
The downturn is believed to be driven by an unprecedented shortage of memory chips, which is pushing up component costs across the industry.
As a result, smartphone manufacturers are discontinuing unprofitable entry-level models and nudging consumers towards more expensive devices.
Last year, about 170 million new smartphones priced below $100 were sold worldwide - a segment that is now considered unprofitable to sustain.
The shortage is expected to persist until mid-2027, and, even as supply recovers, memory prices are unlikely to return to the 2025 levels ever again - suggesting that the era of truly cheap smartphones may be over forever.
