IMF chief economist: Russia's economy is growing faster than expected.
The Russian economy is showing better growth rates than expected, said Pierre-Olivier Gourincha, chief economist and director of research at the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
โThe overall picture is definitely that the Russian economy is growing better than we predicted,โ he said at a special briefing for journalists.
In a report published on Tuesday, the IMF significantly increased its growth forecast for the Russian economy for 2024 - to 2.6%. The indicator has been increased by 1.5 percentage points compared to the previous estimate from October 2023.
